I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I
have an Art Education degree from the University of Wisconsin and have also
studied at Milwaukee's Layton School of Art and at the University of Wisconsin,
Milwaukee. I taught elementary art for several years in Milwaukee and taught
workshops and seminars in Ohio and Indiana.
I paint with watermedia, primarily fluid acrylic,
in an aqueous manner, sometimes using collage, for landscape and
earthforms in both nature oriented and contemporary abstract concepts.
My paintings reflect a statement about the subject, not just an image.
I paint with reactions to, and emotions about the inter-relatedness of
everything in the universe, relationships between peoples, animals,
plants and all of nature. This is not necessarily just about the
present, but also about past influences and relationships.
I belong to the following professional
organizations:
-
Society of Painters in Casein & Acrylic
-
Ohio Watercolor Society
-

-
